As a scuba diver and inhabitant of this planet I feel very strongly about the need to conserve our oceans resources. The oceans cover 70 percent of the earth's surface and compose 97 percent of the earth's water. It is estimated that 80 percent of all life on earth is found under the water. With this in mind, I am introducing Seafriends, a new design series For every design purchased within this group I will donate a portion of the proceeds to two very important ocean conservation causes:
• The Shark Research Institute (SRI), a multi-disciplinary non-profit scientific research organization, was created to sponsor and conduct research and promote public awareness of sharks and their vital role in the marine ecosystem. SRI works to correct misperceptions about sharks and stop the slaughter of 100 million sharks annually.
• Conserve Our Ocean Legacy is a non-profit, non-partisan campaign to build support for ocean and fish protection. Pollution, habitat destruction, mismanagement and overfishing have impoverished our ocean resources, and have caused more than 90% of the world's large fish, including tuna, swordfish and marlin to disappear from our oceans.
Please visit my shop, be a sea friend and help me make a difference!

I'm in the market for a new pair of fins. Should be a pretty simple thing right? Not so simple. There are so many fins to choose from and everyone says that theirs is the best. I know that I want split fins. I've done some research and I think I've narrowed the field down to 2: The Apollo Bio Fins and the Atomic SplitFins. If anyone is out there reading this blog I'd love an opinion. I'm sure that either one of these will be much more efficient than the TUSA X-Ten Liberator fins I've had since the late 80's. I'd especially like a woman's perspective.

The calendar says it's spring, but is it? Based on the weather here in NYC lately winter just doesn't seem to want to let go. Last weekend I went skiing in Vermont in some great mid-winter powder conditions -- in April! Now however I am ready for the warmth of spring and summer. Bring it on!
Maybe one of these sun design shirts will give mother nature a push:

The one thing that scuba divers have in common is that they're certified (at least they should be). It doesn't matter whether you gotten your certification through PADI or NAUI or another agency. We divers usually have a pretty good sense of humor as well as a shared passion for this great sport.

So the question I ask is: Are you certifiable? If you're like me and crazy about scuba diving then the answer is YES! I've just added this new design that may appeal to some of you Crazy Scuba Divers! It's available in all styles for men, women and kids! Also stickers, buttons and magnets too. Do you ever go on vacation and forget to bring home a souvenir t-shirt or gift? Or maybe you just can't find something that you like. Well I think I've come up with the answer to this problem. I've just added a section to my shop called "Dive Destinations." In it I've got 9 different dive locations (Hawaii, Aruba, Bonaire, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Turks & Caicos, Palau, Lake Mead, Key West, Florida) with lots of t-shirts, sweatshirts, and great gift ideas for the whole family. Here are a few samples but please visit Wear My Dive Art Dive Destinations to see the whole line. If you don't see your favorite destination listed just send me an email and I'll add it.

If you're like me you're torn between ski season and any excuse to go diving. While I love the winter for skiing I have to say that the warm waters of the Caribbean have been calling to me lately. So while I still have a ski trip or two planned my thoughts roaming to the underwater world so I thought I'd post a few new diving designs. Come browse all my new designs at Wear My Dive Art

If you're like me you love the beach. The warm turquoise waters of the Caribbean hold a special place in my heart. With that in mind I came up with this LOVE THE BEACH design. It's an image of two beach chairs (just waiting for you and a friend) looking out over the Caribbean sea on a warm sunny late afternoon framed by a soft edged heart. It would make the perfect Valentine Gift for your beach loving sweetheart.

I just got back from a week skiing – yes I do have other interests beyond scuba diving and creating t-shirt designs. I was out west in Utah where the skies were blue, the snow was white and the temperatures were balmy for January. I skied 4 areas: Alta Snowbird, Solitude and Brighton. The photo above is me skiing down a bump run in Alta! Now I'm thinking that I may have to add some ski Tees to my shop. Keep a look out!

Manolos

Two Feet

Here are a couple of my newest designs. They are going off my main theme but so what? Even divers have to put on shoes occasionally. And why not nice one? If you're like me I just look at shoes with heels that high and my feet hurt. But they are pretty! So if you want a pair of Manolos, or someother expensive designer label you could go out and blow your last paycheck on one OR just buy one of my shirts! :-)
